And with that exercise, there are inevitably players who find their games viewed as less than what the fans (and likely themselves) think said players ought to be ranked. Sometimes said prognosticators even admit their sins with some sort of explanation for the slight, and that is exactly what happened with two big names drawn out of the Boston Celtics’ frontcourt for the 2021-22 season.
The duo in question are Al Horford and Robert Williams III, both of whom missed the cut in Sports Illustrated’s opinion of the top 100 players in the league heading into next season.
