Members of the Boston Fire Department were able to free a dog that somehow became stuck in a drainage pipe at a park Wednesday afternoon.

The dog was stuck for more than 2 hours in an underground pipe at Millennium Park in West Roxbury.

Bubba's owner said the dog went into an open culvert in the park and became stuck in the pipe. Every time someone would call out, he went deeper.

From Sky 5, crews were seen shoveling dirt from an area next to a fence along a walking trail. National Grid said a backhoe was brought in to help with the rescue.

Boston Fire said they used a camera to locate the position of the dog.

The dog, a 4-year-old foxhound named Hubert but nicknamed Bubba, was uninjured after he was rescued.

"This is one lucky dog," said owners Bernadette and Maria.
